Part time-travel comedy, part anarchic mockumentary, part impossible-to-describe act of filmmaking, Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol's cult Canadian phenomenon makes the leap from the beloved TV series to the big screen.
Looking to take their band ‘Nirvanna the Band’ to new heights, Matt and Jay decide to try and book a gig at The Rivoli, a bar and restaurant in Toronto, despite never having written a single song. To promote the gig, they decide to attempt a grand stunt from the Toronto Tower, but after a mishap, the pair find themselves transported back into 2008 and must figure out how to get back.
Filmed guerrilla-style among unsuspecting members of the public, it's wildly inventive, gloriously chaotic, and one of the funniest films you'll see this year.
This film contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
