Continuing on with the evening’s subterranean theme, this month’s HFVC is a special one-off, FREE midnight screening of a lesser spotted Canuxploitation classic that never even saw the light of day here in the UK. The Pit (Lew Lehman, 1981), is a fantastically oddball ‘loner kid’ tale that can’t seem to decide what it wants to be or where it wants to go, and is all the better for it.

This unique horror rarity plays like a twisted episode of The Brady Bunch, as seen through the eyes of bullied outcast and pubescent voyeur Jamie (Sammy Snyders), whose only friends are the ‘trollologs’ – Morlock-like cave-dwellers who like nothing better than a bit of gory flesh-rending at Jamie’s behest. Vengeance has never been so hairy.

Hellfire DJs will be in the bar from 10.30 spinning their best selections of avenging child muzics.
