A very special triple bill of eerie folk wonder.
Meg Baird is a key member of dark folk-rock supergroup Espers, one half of the Baird Sisters, and gossamer-voiced heir to a tradition stretching back through 60s folk revival bands like Trees, Pentangle and Fairport Convention, via her great-grandfather, the singer and folk-song collector I. G. Greer, into the Appalachian woods. Her two solo albums on Drag City weave Child ballads, surprising covers and her own songs into haunting tapestries.
Fursaxa employs voice, guitar, organ, dulcimer, accordion, Casio keyboards and more to create hallucinatory home-recorded psych-folk. She's worked with Acid Mothers Temple, collaborated with leading lights of the New Weird America and released on labels including Ecstatic Peace, Eclipse and ATP.
Sharron Kraus uses her crystalline soprano to explore the dark landscape of old English music, conjuring love songs, murder ballads and gothic mysteries.
