In late February, following the takeover of Soho Images by Deluxe, it was announced that 16mm processing at the lab would stop – a commercial move that will have a resounding negative impact amongst UK artists and film-makers working with the medium.
In support of an anticipated campaign coordinated by Tacita Dean – aiming to save the lab, salvage the equipment, or ensure the provision of a comparable alternative - The Cube’s Sweet 16 will here celebrate 16mm film-making through dynamic screenings of 16mm shorts, artist’s films, and whatever else we can lay our hands on…
