(Sat 17th / 7.30 pm / £7 advance, £8 door)
The Hinkley Veltones return to the Cube to launch their second album "Moths". Described by Venue Magazine as amongst Bristol's finest songwriters, their distinct blend of Dark, Cinematic Rock & Roll owes as much to David Lynch and Sergio Leone as it does Cave, Cohen and Cash.
This is music you put on in order to light up a cigarette and calmly drive your car off a cliff, as long as you're looking cool and there's a director on hand to get it all on film.
The contrast of melancholy ballads with rowdy songs of rage and retribution promises a rollercoaster evening that's not to be missed.

Howlin' Lord
Howlin' Lord's Country Rock'n'Roll band play Morricone-esque heart breakers and Brit honky-tonk with a burning passion and world weary authority. It's the sound of wheels coming off the wagon, bloody mary mornings and good ol' boys never meaning no harm via coastal towns, 9 to 5's and big city disenchantment... "Bleak, broken hearted and classy!” (Venue)
