A visually stunning drama based on the true story of two German and two Austrian men who attempted to be the first climbers to scale the North Face of the Eiger in 1936. Johanna Wokalek is excellent as a childhood sweetheart of one of the climbers, now a journalist sent to report on the climb. While a dramatic struggle for survival unfolds on the mountain, she sets out to save her lover and a race against time and the forces of nature begins...
