There are not many more striking and memorable movies than this, and the less you know about the plot the more mind-blowing it is. Bubby is a 30 year old man who has spent his whole life in an apartment 'cared for' by his mother who can only go outdoors with a gas mask on. The appearance of an abusive vicar - allegedly his father - profoundly effects Bubby's sense of identity. This is a very different film to director Rolf de Heer's recent acclaimed TEN CANOES. Terrifying and funny, disturbing yet compelling - a MUST SEE.
