Fancy going for a ride? For something completely different take a look at
The Last Hurrah! Two ancient motorcycles ridden by two even older riders (about 60 and 70 years old!) in a story of survival, enthusiasm and adventure. Bikes and riders start at Beijing, China and then simply ride 12,000 miles to Holland, half way around the world - on 50 plus year old British motorcycles that most people wouldn't trust to get them down the street and back let alone ride over some of the most inhospitable and uninhabited terrain in the world. To inject a bit of tension they even have a deadline - the sister of one of the riders has a 70th birthday party to celebrate in Arnhem, Holland and they simply have to make it by then!! Absolute idiocy or perhaps an odyssey as they tackle the fearsome Gobi, the highest mountain passes, snow, heat and innumerable border crossings, along thousands of miles of dirt roads, 12 hour days in the saddle - adventure and misadventure all the way! Something completely different - funny, inspiring and a touching tale of courage in adversity!
