H IS FOR HOUSE
(Peter Greenaway / 1976 / UK / Digital / 9 mins / Cert PG)

A heartwarming visual poem evoking the English summer, filmed in the country house where Greenaway's family spent their holidays. Seemingly a record of his daughter's childhood, it offers a review of the alphabet told by way of playful association. With all of the attention to detail and wit of his later features, it's a treat for any fan.

HUKKLE
(György Pálfi / 2002 / Hungary / 35mm / 75 mins / Cert PG)

The work "hukkle" is an attempt to imitate the sound of a hiccup. This film is all about sound and vision, and with virtually no dialogue it is charmingly universal. Set in a rural community where life appears to be idyllic and casual, a sinister mystery begins to emerge from the meditative close-ups and soothing panning shots. A police officer seems to be gathering clues... can you piece together the infomation within the film to solve the mystery? Even if you can't it is still a very satisfying sensory experience with some very surprising cgi inserts.
