The Apple

Tickets: £8 / £6 concessions

Beacons, Icons and Dykons brings you an evening of performance inspired by and featuring the best moments from the spectacularly bad sci-fi musical The Apple (directed by Menahem Golan, 1980)

The Apple has been described as "a gamy glitterdome of outrageous kitsch passing itself off as a futuristic fable", and features some of the weirdest sex choreography on the silver screen, plus some outrageously acid-spangled cinematography, which is why BID love it so and have selected its best bits for your pleasure!

A host of BID’s favourites will punctuate the evening with performance exploring the film's themes. Artists include Liz Clarke who blurs the boundaries of reality and dreamscapes, the post-popular prodigy Lucy McCormick (Triple Threat) who's always provocative, subversive and funny, and BID's effervescent compere Tom Marshman (King's Cross (REMIX)).

‘There is nothing like BID, you literally never know what will happen next. Long may it reign supreme!” – Audience feedback
