The film follows a young Anthony Edwards (from ER, remember that?) as he meets and falls in love with Julie the day before the world ends. Warm, fuzzy & comforting John Hughes-vibes collapse into frenzied desperation as their paths cross with a myriad of eccentric strangers, yuppies and weirdos. A beautifully-1980's Tangerine Dream score is the icing on the cake. If you're unfamiliar with this film YA GOTTA SEE IT!
