SHOOTING PEOPLE: THE SHOOT OUT
(Mon 8th / 7pm / £3/2)

Shooting People is the UK's independent film community. With over 40,000 members across the UK it helps to crew and cast some 200 independent films every week. The Shoot Out is a selection of shorts from some of the most interesting new talents in the country, in most cases right at the start of their careers. Curated by Ben Blaine who will be present to introduce the films.

Including:
ACCIDENT by James Leech- A delicate, subtle and very sharp British drama short shot like a documentary. It won the Bronze Bear at the Festival der Nationen, Bensee. BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE SEA by Jo Barnes- Mesmeric and thoughtful, a must for anyone who's been in love recently. HOLLY BOLLY by Dishad Husain- an inch perfect piece about the process of making films and was awarded the SHOOTERS AUDIENCE AWARD in Hoxton Square last July. Plus THE ORANGE TREE by Simon Kent. Two humerous pieces from by Steven Hoare. JOURNEY MAN by Dictynna Hood.
This is your first chance in Bristol to see fantastic films by fantastic film makers who are doing really interesting things right on the outskirts of the industry.
"Shooting People is now an essential part of filmmaking" - Mike Figgis "Fuelling a major grassroots revival in independent cinema" - The Times.
