Winter is here! Plug 58 welcomes you into the warm, so you can feast your eyes on the following delights :: Le Pants :: Dogzone :: Nik Young :: Ruby
McMurphy ; Same Old Queen (short film)

First up, come on a journey into Ruby McMurphys intense claustraphobic world. Eight minutes of old skool beats and psychedelic loops; The Same Old Queen Reigns Supreme. A film/music collaboration between McMurphy and Minton, premiered here tonight.

Next we invite you to grab a cuppa for it is time to eat some cake especially made for you by our very own Royalty. Nik Young. For she wants to provide you with all things sweet and sultry. Performing mercury voiced songs from her new e.p (produced by Nik and Max Milton), they will woo you into those dark places only flapjacks can provide. All hail Bristol's Queen of Mellow!...Your Majesty... Buy a cake (cooked in high heels of course..) from our stall in the bar and receive one of Nik's' CD's for FREE!

Next we darken the tone somewhat as we bear witness to London's 'Dogzone', who describe their poetry, delivered in a thick Scottish accent over live music, as the 'ramblings of an open wound'. Not to be missed we tell you!!

And for a fun finale, we give you 'Le Pants'. A new underground pop ensemble who write and perform really good, crap songs! A mixture of Jokate's sexy idiotic vocals and the wet and grinding musical knob twisting mastery of Joe Jarlett, with some chav nymphet top of the pops stylee dancers (Natalie Chow, Susie Glatt and Tef Kay), and home made pop videos to boot! Chew on the subject matter of tesco chavs, pill popping housewives and cowgirls looking for a ride. Somewhere in between Peaches, Britney spears and anyone else they can think of. We hope you enjoy!

All 58 Records releases will be on sale too....Events artwork courtesy of Gonga guitarist legend, George Elgie. Simon (Blood Red Sounds) to DJ.
