Float & Controlled Conditions presents MANYFINGERS + Bury and Disinter + Monkey Moo
(Friday 10th Sept / 8pm / £4)

Incredibly the work of just one pair of hands, MANYFINGERS - aka Bristol multi- instrumentalist Chris Cole (Crescent, Movietone, Matt Elliot) - loops as many instruments as he can fit on stage to create realtime sample symphonies of a darkly beautiful resonance. This, his first headline performance, is in support of his eponymous debut album released earlier this year on Remote Viewer's Moteer imprint. Tonight will also see the premiere of Cole's fascinating cross- genre collaboration with renowned Bristol beatboxer and DJ, MONKEY MOO (Aspects).

Plus Nottingham’s BURY AND DISINTER, who will be familiar to some as Noel Murphy, one half of feted glitch fetishists Wauvenfold. This solo project sees Murphy adopt a more measured approach, processing guitar, harmonica, mixing desk feedback and more through custom-made looping software to sparse and beautiful improvised effect. By way of live visual adornment, Jim Boxall of VJ collective AV/DV (Big Chill, Sonar) will be playing and reworking a selection of specially commissioned film material.

With DJ Gravenhurst in the bar.
