under_score presents DUODECIMO + V.I. + Tristan Burfield
(Sat 30th / 8pm / £4)

under_score is a regular new Cube night dedicated to the best in contemporary electronica - from cerebral minimal house and techno to noise, ambient and glitch music... all rounded off with some good old fashioned electro-pop!
First up is DUODECIMO from the wilds of Devon. The duo's fractured electronic sound explores similar terrain to that of Oval and Fennesz, with a twist: their dizzying collages of clicks, hums, whirrs and drones are all culled from countryside field recordings. Tonight, with his colleague away in Japan, Rupert Cogan performs a special audiovisual set utilising material from Yemen, Burma, Laos and Cambodia.

With two of Bristol's electronic purists in support this promises to be a quite captivating evening. From the Cube's own V.I comes wave after wave of primal sine pulsation, a music of the spheres for the analogue heads.
Plus TRISTAN BURFIELD (Anti-Digital Records), who, using the parallels between sound and photography as his template, sculpts intense and imaginative audio explorations.
