‘Surely there must be more than one hinge into the universe,’ muses the ever- present screen presence of Michael Fassbender, here portraying a young Jung in Cronenberg’s wood-panelled affairs and analysis drama, at the moment he finds himself distancing his ideas from the great Master Freud (Viggo Mortensen, imagine!)
Also includes concepts of order and desire, mysticism and rationalism, a prolonged spanking scene, and Kiera Knightly pronouncing herself ‘dirty’. Cracking stuff.
