Heavenly guitar drone that shrouds you in distortion and reverb, Barn Owl is the collaboration between Evan Caminiti and Jon Porras from San Francisco. Their music, which has been influenced by the likes of Flying Saucer Attack and Keiji Haino and has been compared to Grails, Earth and Mountains, builds long and winding crescendos out of simple but beautiful soundscapes. Their third album “Ancestral Star”, out on Thrill Jockey, captures this ambient mood, taking the listener on a journey through a dark forest and into a darker cave, down some ancient stone steps before projecting you out into the cosmos and beyond. An inner trip for outer minds, we think that the hushed theatrical setting of the Cube will be perfect for Barn Owl.

Support comes from Jefre Cantu-Ledesma And Thoughtforms

Jefre Cantu-Ledesma (ex Tarentel) combines sparse, ambient swells and textures, with abrasive layers of feedback and noise, to create music both sonically beautiful and ferociously intense.

Bristol's own Thoughtforms releasing their début album on Bristol’s Invada Records, Thought Forms Come across like Bad Moon Rising era Sonic Youth crossed with Sunn O))) mixing in Grouper on vocals for good measure; This band are truly exhilarating and awe-inspiring live.
