A loving tribute to one of the great British filmmakers and artists, tracing the origins of his talent and highlighting his accomplishments to a backdrop of great film footage, from amateur Super 8 home movies to modern classics like "Caravaggio" and "The Last of England". The film includes interviews with some of the key figures in Derek's life - his sister Gaye Jarman, actress and muse Tilda Swinton, art director Christopher Hobbs, producer James McKay and many more.
Time has enhanced Jarman's achievement and this revealing and insightful portrait highlights his accomplishments as a filmmaker and all-round creator. Bristol premiere.
