-
Tue 5 May 2009 // 19:30

(Tue 5th / 7.30pm / £5 advance, £7 on the door)

Boundary pushing beatboxer Beardyman is a performer who has human beat-box skills mixed with musical genius and humorous conceptual daring. Now hear THIS... he is going to put on a Entertainment Show like no other with special guests from the worlds of music, comedy, visual art.

Two Times UK Beatbox Champion and recent winner of 'Breakspoll' best MC/Vocalist 2009, the amazing Beardyman has no f*cking idea what he's got himself into. In preparation for the Edinburgh Fringe, the has decided to base a show on what you, the mentals of Bristol decide to suggest. . . . YES!!!! Your dreams, ideas and crazed suggestions will actually dictate the show!!! Come in costume if you want, bring stupid props they have to incorporate, do what you want...as the show is alive with possibilities.

The mission here is to explore the limitless possibilities of collaboration, push the boundaries of reality and to save planet earth from boredom and apathy. He's game, but the question is, are you? Beardyman's crew includes; Jay Foreman, Klumzy Tung, JFB, Jim Black, Helleanor and David Hopkinson.

This project is audacious and zoned move by the Bearded One but not
unsurprising. Beardyman can move a crowd of thousand clubbers with a mouthful of beats and pieces, doing hip-hop/trance and dubstep, he has presented a Radio 4 show about bird calls. He famously utilizes cutting-edge sound-mangling technology to create pulse-racing rhythms, breath-taking soundscapes, fully whacked-out sketches and tunes while sharing stages with Jazzy Jeff, Tim Exile, Beastie Boys, Skinnyman, Groove Armada, Blondie, Wordsmith and Phi-Life Cypher. This is also a ongoing close/creative relationship that he and his crew have with the artist run Cube Cinema Complex. Take your brain out.

"Literally the most entertaining live human being I've seen in donkeys' years" (Rob da Bank, BBC Radio 1)
