Zomes + Boduf Songs + Line

Sat 28 February 2009 // 20:00

(Sat 28th / 8pm / £5)

Wipe away the February blues and come join us for a night of introspection and dusky loner psychedelia.

Zomes began in 2007 as the home recording project of one Asa Osborne, erstwhile guitarist from legendary Dischord Records bands Lungfish and The Pupils. His cyclic, cinematic, mostly instrumental musings were collected on an album courtesy of Holy Mountain Records (home to Om, Country Teasers and fellow Lungfish member Daniel Higgs). Zomes will be expanded to a
three-piece for this, their first UK tour.

Boduf Songs is Southampton's resident musical genius Mat Sweet and friends. Largely based around acoustic guitars, Boduf Songs incorporates treated found sounds and electronics to create quintessentially British, affecting and disturbing singer-songwriterisms. His albums are available on Kranky, home to Low and Godspeed You Black Emperor.

We begin the evening with Line. Bristol's own masters of acoustic based, post-rock inflected, Krautrocking nuggets of indie-pop, featuring members of Soeza and Fringes.
