Based on the series of Earthsea books by American fantasy author Ursula le Guin, this new film from Studio Ghibli is the first to be directed by the son of studio founder Hayao Miyazaki, who also directed the studio's major successes 'Spirited Away' and 'Princess Mononoke'. A sumptuous extraveganza of watercolour designs, the episodic story of Prince Ged is another landmark of animation, proving that the Miyazaki name will be synonymous with the Anime genre for years to come.
