(Fri 7th / 8pm / £5 adv)

Two solo musicians who reimagine post-classical ambience, deep minimilism and flickering electronics in delightful new forms. The Books, Eric Satie, Indonesian gamelan and John Cage all get a look in.

Dusseldorf-based prepared piano virtuoso Volker Bertelman records on Fat Cat and German label Karaoke Kalk as HAUSCHKA. Clamping leather wedges and felt between the strings, preparing the hammers with aluminium paper, and weaving guitar strings around the piano's guts, he adventurously explores the limitations of the instrument in search of unfound colours and textures.

A prolofic collaborator who has worked with the likes of Matt Elliott, Movietone and Soeza over the years, MANYFINGERS is Bristolian multi-instrumentalist Chris Coles. Signed to Spanish indie Acuarela, he forges magical loop tapestries from layer upon layer of guitar, chinese harp, cello, drums and more before your very ears. A looper like no other.
