Bath Spa University's Sonic Ensemble

This 18-piece electronic and digital sonic ensemble exploits the full
dynamic range of pin-drop fragility to occasional cascades of complex
noise. Behaviour combine interpretations of 'classic' large ensemble
improvisation works and truly original strategy-driven compositions that respond to their rich and diverse orchestration and sound manipulations.
Behaviour is an ensemble of Year Three Creative Music Technology
students from Bath Spa University, devised and directed by electronic
feedback performer Andy Keep. The detailed palette is created from a
fusion of sources - real-time laptop software environments, analogue
sound processors, hand made and 'circuit bent' electronic instruments, adapted turntables, and delicate manipulations of microscopic sound
worlds using contact microphones and coil pick-ups.
Tonight Behaviour will be playing in surround-sound, which promises to make their Cube debut a truly immersive event.
