Restless purveyors of fresh, informal film and music events, 7 Inch Cinema started life three years ago as a regular shorts night in a pub and has since grown to include an inflatable film-tent, community archive projects and Flatpack, an annual festival in Birmingham. This autumn they¹ll be pitching up at the Cube with their own unique brand of eclectic, mixtape programming, a journey which takes in award-winning shorts (including Run Wrake¹s RABBIT), archive gems and internet oddities. The evening features the programming wizardry of ZX Spectrum Orchestra and special guests Black Galaxy, performing mesmerising scores for the astonishing LOT IN SODOM (dir: Watson & Webber, 1933) and L¹ÉTOILE DE MER (dir: Man Ray, 1928).
