The Hot Potato Syncopators present

UKULELE CABARET!
(Fri 16th June / 8pm / &6/5*

An extraordinary evening of entertainment celebrating the plucky little ukulele.

A classy cabaret featuring some of the very best ukulele acts around. This noble little instrument has found itself in the hands of some of the
greatest performers of the 20th century including Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Oliver Hardy, George Harrison and of course the inimitable George Formby.

Tonight we let loose on stage the fabulous Bobby McGees (as seen on Radio 1) with their own brand of Lo-fi pop, Graham James - Pontins Superstar
(retired) playing Formby numbers on his Banjolele with gusto, Duke
Marmapants will serenading us with classic nostalgia, the Pindrop Tinkelele Section with their homemade ukes, Marc Parret from Green Ginger singing some of his own charming songs, The Rude Girls belching out some filthy numbers, the delightful Amy Rose plinking merry melodies, and comedy jazz nonsense from The Hot Potato Syncopators.

Plus live ukulele surgery by Harry Thackery from Cafe Kazaam, Mr Dennis Teeth on musical saw and an informative talk from 'Toots' Norman. There will be a sing/plink along so bring your uke with you! Also a chance to win your own ukulele in the raffle!

Delicious Hawaiian 78s on wind up gramophones in the bar.
