For this event Bristol Radical Film Festival and Indymedia have partnered with the Dalit Freedom Network, a human rights and development charity raising awareness and engaging in advocacy on modern-day slavery in India.

As well as raising awareness and engaging in advocacy on the issue, the DFN also supports anti-trafficking and development initiatives among India's most vulnerable people: the Dalits (Untouchables). As part of their nationwide tour, they will be screening the Oscar-nominated short film, Kavi (2009).

Alongside this we'll be showing another short film, Emerging Solidarities, which looks at workers closer to home in Europe.
