This brilliant psychological drama follows the hijacking of a fictional Danish cargo ship deep in the Indian Ocean. Among the crew are the ship's cook Mikkel and the engineer Jan. Tensions escalate as the film alternates between the situation on board and the Copenhagen HQ where the shipping company's CEO Peter insists on personally negotiating with the pirates. A highly conceivable account free from the tired clichés you might expect from a Hollywood hostage drama with a focus on the the human consequences of modern piracy.
